Hemoglobinopathies are an important inherited disorder with a high prevalence in Thailand. Of several hemoglobinopathies, hemoglobin E (Hb) disorder (beta 26, GAG-AAG, Glu-Lys) is the most common. Coagulation disorders in these patients have also been proposed.
