Hyaluronic acid-targeted topotecan liposomes improve therapeutic efficacy against lung cancer in animals.

Lung cancer, as a serious threat to human health and life, necessitating urgent treatment and intervention. In this study, we prepared hyaluronic acid (HA)-targeted topotecan liposomes for site-specific delivery to tumor cells. The encapsulation efficiency, stability, chemical structure, and morphology of HA-targeted topotecan liposomes were studied, and the release properties, cellular uptake capacity, and therapeutic efficacy of topotecan were further investigated.

Clinical analysis of sirolimus therapy in children with refractory nephrotic syndrome.

To investigate the clinical efficacy of sirolimus in treating children with refractory nephrotic syndrome, the clinical data for 22 children from the Children's Hospital of Hebei Province were analyzed retrospectively. There were 16 boys and six girls, and the treatment period was from September 2015 to April 2021. There were two patients with steroid-dependent nephrotic syndrome (SDNS), six patients with frequently relapsing nephrotic syndrome (FRNS), and 14 patients with steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome (SRNS).

Long noncoding RNA MALAT1 promotes malignant development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma by targeting β-catenin via Ezh2.

Evidences have shown that lncRNAs involve in the initiation and progression of various cancers including esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The aberrant expression of lncRNA MALAT1 was investigated in 106 paired ESCC tissues and adjacent non-cancerous tissues by qRT-PCR. Down-regulated MALAT1 and Ezh2 over-expression plasmid were constructed respectively to analyze the expression of β-catenin, Lin28 and Ezh2 genes.

Simultaneous determination of m-nisoldipine and its three metabolites in rat plasma by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.

A simple, sensitive and selective liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for the simultaneous determination of m-nisoldipine and its three metabolites in rat plasma has been developed using nitrendipine as an internal standard (IS). Following liquid-liquid extraction, the analytes were separated using an isocratic mobile phase on a reverse phase C(18) column and analyzed by MS in the multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. To avoid contamination by residual sample in the injection syringe, a special injection protocol was developed.
