This study aims to evaluate the prognostic significance of various laboratory parameters in predicting the length of hospital stay and mortality among pediatric patients undergoing lobectomy and pneumonectomy for infectious or noninfectious diseases. This study was conducted by retrospective data analysis of 59 pediatric patients who underwent lobectomy and pneumonectomy due to variable diseases at the department of chest surgery. Pediatric patients diagnosed with variable diseases and who underwent lobectomy or pneumonectomy, patients who were hospitalized during the study period and underwent surgical intervention, and patients who had at least one laboratory parameter recorded before surgery were included in the study.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a significant health problem that affects millions of people worldwide and its end-stage manifestation requires hemodialysis treatment, which can have a considerable impact on patients' mental health and quality of life. This study aims to examine the relationship between spirituality and anxiety, as well as spirituality and psychological resilience among hemodialysis patients using the iterative weighted least squares method. Participants included 91 hemodialysis patients, consisting of 49 females and 42 males, whose ages ranged from 20 to 82 years, with a mean age of 48 (SD = 14).

Here, we identify a patient with a novel homozygous pathogenic variant and atypical clinical findings and summarized the clinical and molecular features of Turkish patients reported in the literature and present.
Case: The patient was born to consangineous parents at the 28th week of gestation.
Background: Hepatic glycogen storage diseases are a group of diseases manifesting mainly with hypoglycemia and hepatomegaly. The patients require frequent daytime and nocturnal feedings. Hypoglycemia may cause sensorineural hearing loss and nocturnal feeding is a risk factor for the development of gastroesophageal reflux that may cause chronic otitis media and hearing loss consequently.

Patients And Methods: Progressive mCRPC patients who received at least 1 cycle of LuPSMA therapy were evaluated retrospectively. Demographic, clinic, and histopathological data were documented.
Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the effect of mindfulness on medication adherence in individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 147 individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. The data were collected using the Descriptive Characteristics Form, Morisky Medication Adherence Scale, and Mindful Attention Awareness Scale.
Objectives: In the past decade, advances in immunological therapy have increased the survival of kidney recipients and their grafts. However, it has not achieved the desired level of improvement. This study aims to reveal the mortality among kidney recipients.

Ketorolac, intravenous (IV) paracetamol, rofecoxib, and IV ibuprofen have been used as a part of a multimodal analgesic approach in different surgical procedures. However, the efficacy of IV ibuprofen has not been well elucidated in adult patients undergoing elective PCNL.

Pulmonary mucous gland adenomas are rare benign tumors, which need to be differentiated from malign lung masses. The differential diagnosis is of particular importance for those arising from lung parenchyma in atypical locations. In this article, we report a 70-year-old male patient, who had complaints of cough and expectoration for almost two years.

Methods: A total of 129 patients with T3 n on-small c ell l ung c ancer (125 males, 4 females; mean age 60±9.3 years; range 23 to 80 years) who were performed surgery in our clinic between January 1997 and December 2013 were evaluated retrospectively in terms of age, gender, type of resection, tumor histopathology, tumor, node and metastasis staging, lymph node invasion, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and recurrence.
Context: Autosomal-recessive mutations in the growth hormone receptor (GHR) are the most common causes for primary growth hormone insensitivity (GHI) syndrome with classical GHI phenotypically characterized by severe short stature and marked insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I deficiency. We report three families with dominant-negative heterozygous mutations in the intracellular domain of the causing a nonclassical GHI phenotype.
Objective: To determine if the identified heterozygous variants exert potential dominant-negative effects and are the cause for the GHI phenotype in our patients.
Purpose: We evaluated the effects of a single loading dose of remifentanil (1 μg/kg) administered as an adjunct to sevoflurane, on the duration of seizure activity, recovery times, and hemodynamic profiles, during electroconvulsive therapy.
Methods: The patients were randomly allocated to receive sevoflurane-saline (Group SS) or sevoflurane-remifentanil (Group SR). Sevoflurane (8%) was initiated for anesthesia induction in both groups until loss of consciousness was achieved.
Background/objective: We aimed to present cases of postintubation tracheal stenosis (PITS), all due to long-term intubation and treated surgically in a university hospital, and to discuss them in light of the literature.
