Preparation of LiZrF:Ce and LiZrF:Ce,Gd phosphors is described. Data on luminescence characteristics are presented. Hydrothermal route was employed for the synthesis.

The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence. KCe(PO ) exhibits emission in ultraviolet (UV) region which indicates weak Ce -Ce interaction.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFPhotoluminescence, and optically stimulated luminescence in ZnB X (B; Li,Na,K: X; Cl,Br) compounds doped with Cu or Ag were studied. Double humped emission bands attributable to the activators were observed in all the samples. The observed photoluminescence of Cu and Ag could be identified with 3d 4s ↔3d and 4d 5s ↔5d transitions respectively.
