UVB emitting phosphors based on singly and co-doped Ce, Gd in LiZrF phosphors.

Preparation of LiZrF:Ce and LiZrF:Ce,Gd phosphors is described. Data on luminescence characteristics are presented. Hydrothermal route was employed for the synthesis.

Synthesis, characterization, and luminescence studies of rare-earth-activated NaMgF.

NaMgF -based phosphors have been described frequently in the literature. Their synthesis faces difficulties typical of fluoride materials. A simple precipitation synthesis for NaMgF -based phosphors is described in this paper.

Synthesis and characterization of KCe(PO ) doped with some lanthanide activators.

KCe(PO ) doped with Dy ,Tb ,Yb and Nd phosphors were synthesized by a solid state diffusion method. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence. KCe(PO ) exhibits emission in ultraviolet (UV) region which indicates weak Ce -Ce interaction.

Preliminary results on the photoluminescence and optically stimulated luminescence in Cu-doped and Ag-doped ZnB X (B = Li, Na, K: X = Cl, Br) compounds.

Photoluminescence, and optically stimulated luminescence in ZnB X (B; Li,Na,K: X; Cl,Br) compounds doped with Cu or Ag were studied. Double humped emission bands attributable to the activators were observed in all the samples. The observed photoluminescence of Cu and Ag could be identified with 3d 4s ↔3d and 4d 5s ↔5d transitions respectively.
