Background Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a major health concern throughout the world. By severing the parasympathetic supply to the lateral wall of the nose, posterior lateral nasal neurectomy (PLNN), a form of highly selective vidian neurectomy, decreases nasal allergy symptoms. This study attempts to characterize the demographic and surgical characteristics of study participants in relation to PLNN, as well as to identify the risk factors associated with these characteristics.
