Background: Adolescents comprise one-sixth of the world's population, yet there is no clear understanding of the features that promote adolescent-friendly services (AFS). The lack of clarity and consistency around a definition presents a gap in health services.
Methods: The review was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews guidelines.

Objectives: Prolonged antibiotic use after birth is associated with neonatal feeding intolerance and functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs). A gastric dysrhythmia (tachygastria) with frequencies >4-9 cycles per minute, measured by electrogastrography (EGG), is associated with FGIDs. The relationship between prolonged antibiotic use and % time spent in tachygastria is unknown in preterm infants.

CAP exerts cytotoxic, bactericidal, cell-proliferative, and anti-inflammatory effects on living tissues by generating reactive species. Therefore, CAP holds promise as a treatment for diseases involving chronic inflammation and bacterial infections.

The rate of cell proliferation is a crucial factor in cell production under good manufacturing practice (GMP) control. In this study, we identified a culture system for induced pluripotent cells (iPSCs) that supports cell proliferation and viability and maintains the cells in an undifferentiated state even at 8 days after seeding. This system involves the use of dot pattern culture plates that have been coated with a chemically defined scaffold which has high biocompatibility.

Society awards are an important component of recognition in medicine and for career advancement such as promotion. Multiple studies conducted in pediatrics and gastroenterology have shown underrepresentation of women awardees even in fields with a higher proportion of women than men. To our knowledge, no such studies have been conducted in pediatric gastroenterology.

Electrogastrography (EGG) is a non-invasive technology that measures gastric myoelectrical activity and can be utilized to measure changes that occur with maturation at different gestational ages (GA). Three gastric rhythms (GR) exist between 0.

Objectives: Tachygastria is a gastric dysrhythmia (>4 to ≤9 cycles per minute, cpm) associated with gastric hypomotility and gastrointestinal disorders. Healthy preterm infants spend more time in tachygastria than adults; however, normative values are not defined. We sought to determine the percent of time preterm infants spend in tachygastria.

Study Design: Cross-sectional study of pediatric academic faculty physicians using a REDCap survey to inquire about faculty EHR skills, support services, and associations between EHR workflow and job satisfaction.
Cardiac implantable electronic device infective endocarditis is a serious infection with poor prognosis. The systematic review of the literature was conducted using searches from the various databases. We included studies published between January 2010 and June 2021.

Intra-cavitary electrocardiography (IC ECG) has been recommended by peak professional bodies as an accurate alternative for bedside CVAD insertion, to reduce risk of malposition and allowing immediate use of the device. Our objective was to compare the effect of IC ECG on CVAD malposition compared to traditional institutional practice for CVAD placement.

MDP mainly comprises of CaCO with small amounts of Mg, Fe or Si in various forms. In India, mainly in Rajasthan state, marble is quarried in huge amounts and MDP thus produced is collected improperly and dumped at any abandoned land or identified disposal sites.

In addition to enhancing the specific area of the dissolving solids, nanosizing can also capture and stabilize the metastable form of the API, which can further enhance the solubility by drastic modulation of surface energies. Herein, we employ meniscus-guided coating to fabricate nanothin films of three APIs that show anticancer properties and are poorly soluble:10-HCPT, SN-38, and amonafide.

Study Design: This implementation science project synthesized a combination of clinical practice guidelines, published literature, and clinical experience by a team of CVS clinicians to develop the CVSAP. The tool was developed to include validated pictograms and an automatic, embedded, weight-based dosing calculator to output acute management recommendations.

Women and minorities are underrepresented in leadership positions in academic specialties. We investigated representation of women and minorities in selected leadership positions and in fellowships in North American academic pediatric gastroenterology programs (PGP) via voluntary surveys. We also assessed for factors influencing diversity.
