Hepatocellular adenomas (HCAs) are benign monoclonal liver tumors. Advances in molecular studies have led to the identification of distinct subtypes of HCA with unique pathways, clinical characteristics, and complication risks, underscoring the need for precise diagnosis and tailored management. Malignant transformation and bleeding remain significant concerns.

To accurately interpret activation-induced BOLD responses and quantify perfusion values by BOLD dynamic susceptibility contrast (BOLD-DSC) with transient hypoxia, it is critical to assess Δ values in tissue and blood across varying levels of hypoxia and magnetic field strengths (B).
Methods: Whole-brain BOLD responses were examined using 5-s graded hypoxic challenges with 10%, 5%, and 0% O at ultrahigh field strengths of 7 T, 9.

Parsnip (Pastinaca sativa), rich in dietary fiber and medicinal properties, has shown health benefits, but its effects on MASLD are largely unexplored. This study evaluated the prebiotic and anti-MASLD effects of parsnip root water-soluble extract (PRE) in a mouse model.

Accordingly, the aging mechanism of the system had an asymmetric memory response to the positive and negative thermal cycles within the cluster-glass state (T<32.6 K) and demonstrated a hierarchical organization of the phase space where its metastable energy states undergo continuous splitting with decreasing temperature.

In this study, we investigated the prebiotic activity of sweet flag rhizome extract (SRE) and its preventive effects against high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity and colonic inflammation. The prebiotic activity was assessed based on the prebiotic activity scores of four probiotic strains.

Methods: Measurements were performed using three types of cylindrical chambers (TW30013, FC65-G, and A1SL) and plane-parallel chambers (PPC) (Roos, Advanced Markus, and NACP-02) with electron beams of energies 6, 12, and 18 MeV. Absorbed dose to water at the reference depths was determined following the modified formalism using different chambers and methods, including the direct application of Co calibration or cross-calibration for PPCs in a high-energy electron beam.
This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of VX2 tumor in rabbit auricles as an experimental model for intra-arterial embolization. This study was approved by our Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. VX2 tumors were implanted in both auricles of 12 New Zealand White Rabbits.

This study aimed to compare the diagnostic performance of LI-RADS Ultrasound Surveillance version 2017 (v2017) and version 2024 (v2024) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) detection in at-risk patients and to identify predictors of VIS-C on follow-up surveillance examinations. This retrospective analysis included 407 patients (median age, 56 years; 230 male, 177 female) with cirrhosis who underwent rounds of semi-annual surveillance ultrasound as part of a prospective trial from November 2011 to December 2012.

Purpose To evaluate the percentage of rapidly growing early-stage HCCs in each Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) category and to identify prognostic factors associated with rapid growth. Materials and Methods Retrospective study of patients with risk factors for HCC and those with surgically proven early-stage HCC who underwent two or more preoperative multiphasic CT or MRI examinations between January 2016 and December 2020.

This multicenter study aimed to determine whether LI-RADS categorization can offer additional post-surgical prognostic value for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICCA) when used in conjunction with the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) guidelines.
Methods: Patients with high risk for hepatocellular carcinoma, surgically confirmed ICCAs, and available preoperative MRI were enrolled.
Introduction: To investigate factors influencing the effectiveness and safety of super-selective embolization in patients with high-grade gross hematuria.

However, because FBS substitutes do not sufficiently induce cell proliferation, a good alternative is to reduce the amount of FBS and use ingestible additives to promote cell proliferation. In this study, Grifola frondosa extract (GFE) was used to investigate its potential as an additive to promote myogenesis of bovine muscle satellite cells from Hanwoo cattle under low serum conditions (10 % FBS).

Unlabelled: As a response regulator of the EsrA-EsrB two-component system, EsrB is conserved in and plays a crucial role in virulence and pathogenicity. EsrB possesses DNA binding abilities, enabling it to regulate the transcription of virulence genes to confront different stresses and achieve systematic infections. Here, ChIP-seq analysis of EsrB in Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM) (mimicking environments) revealed that EsrB preferred to bind to virulence-associated promoters with a distinct 7'-4-7'' pseudopalindromic DNA motif and interact with metabolic-related promoters with a high AT DNA motif.
