Introduction: Percutaneous vertebroplasty, i.e. the consolidation of a vertebral body with polymethylmethacrylate, is a safe and effective image-guided technique increasingly used as a treatment option for different pathologic conditions, mainly vertebral body fractures secondary to osteoporosis, hemangiomas and metastasis.
