Robotic liver transplantation represents a cutting-edge technique that may surpass traditional open surgery. Nonetheless, it introduces unique anesthetic challenges, including extended pneumoperitoneum, restricted patient access, and a risk of undetected blood loss. Pediatric brain tumors are different to those found in adults in pathological type, anatomical site, molecular signature, and probable tumor drivers. Although these tumors usually occur in childhood, they also rarely present in adult patients, either as a de novo diagnosis or as a delayed recurrence of a pediatric tumor in the setting of a patient that has transitioned into adult services.Due to the rarity of pediatric-like tumors in adults, the literature on these tumor types in adults is often limited to small case series, and treatment decisions are often based on the management plans taken from pediatric studies.

Cystathionine beta-synthase (CBS) is an essential metabolic enzyme across all domains of life for the production of glutathione, cysteine, and hydrogen sulfide. Appended to the conserved catalytic domain of human CBS is a regulatory domain that modulates activity by S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM) and promotes oligomerisation. Here we show using cryo-electron microscopy that full-length human CBS in the basal and SAM-bound activated states polymerises as filaments mediated by a conserved regulatory domain loop.

To address the problem, we propose the following recommendations: (a) accurate documentation of experimental procedures in Materials and methods (and not only in the supplementary information, as many journals have a strict mandate for making Materials and methods as visible as possible in the main text); (b) submission of RT-qPCR raw data for all experiments reported; and (c) adoption of a unified, simple format for submitted RT-qPCR raw data.

Introduction: Paediatric ventriculomegaly without obvious signs or symptoms of raised intracranial pressure (ICP) is often interpreted as resulting from either relative brain atrophy, arrested "benign" hydrocephalus, or "successful" endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV). We hypothesise that the typical ICP "signature" found in symptomatic hydrocephalus can be present in asymptomatic or oligosymptomatic children, indicating pressure-compensated, but active hydrocephalus.

The molecular identity of the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC) was presented in 2012, forty years after the active transport of cytosolic pyruvate into the mitochondrial matrix was first demonstrated. An impressive amount of and studies has since revealed an unexpected interplay between one, two, or even three protein subunits defining different functional MPC assemblies in a metabolic-specific context. The aim of this work was to evaluate the color stability of betalain- and anthocyanin-rich extracts in yogurt-like fermented soy, in order to develop a preliminary understanding of how these pigments behave in this type of food system during storage for 21 days at 4 °C. Thus, the extracts of red beetroot, opuntia, hibiscus and red radish were integrated into the yogurt-like fermented soy in two different ways-directly after lyophilization, and encapsulated in nanosystems based in soybean lecithin-as this approach has never been used to further increase the value and potential of the dairy-free alternatives of yogurt-like fermented soy. The results showed that non-encapsulated betalain-rich extracts from red radish are the most promising for coloring yogurt-like fermented soy.
