Background: Shoulder adhesive capsulitis (AC) is a common musculoskeletal condition causing pain, loss of range of motion (ROM) in the shoulder, and a decrease in its functionality, yet poorly defined and understood since its identification. Kaltenborn mobilization technique (KMT) and muscle energy technique (MET) are commonly used physiotherapeutic techniques for their treatment. To the best of our understanding, there was no study found to compare the effectiveness of one technique over another.

Malignant gastrointestinal neuroectodermal tumor: A case-based review of literature.

Malignant gastrointestinal (GI) neuroectodermal tumor is an extremely rare entity that was first described by Zambrano et al. in 2003 as "clear cell sarcoma (CCS)-like tumor of the GI tract." It shares some of the histopathological features of CCS but lacks the immunohistochemical (IHC) reactivity for melanocytic markers.

Cyclooxygenase 2 (Cox 2) Expression in Newly Diagnosed Plasma Cell Myeloma: A Clinicopathological and Immunohistochemical Study on 73 Cases from a Single Tertiary Care Center.

To study the cyclooxygenase 2 (Cox 2) expression in newly diagnosed plasma cell myeloma cases by immunohistochemistry (IHC) and correlate with clinicohematological characteristics. Immunohistochemical expression of Cox 2 on bone marrow trephine biopsy was studied in newly diagnosed myeloma [56 males, 17 females, median age; 58 years (36-75)] and fifteen controls using SP21 clone antibody. A median immuno-score (proportion x intensity) stratified the entire cohort into low and high expressors.

Acquired Pure Red Cell Aplasia Following Recombinant Erythropoietin (Darbepoetin-alfa) Therapy.

Acquired pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) following use of recombinant erythropoietin (rEPO) is distinctly rare and sporadically reported in the literature. We discuss a case of PRCA following the usage of rEPO (darbepoetin-α) during the management of anemia of chronic kidney disease in an elderly male subject with review of literature and a brief insight into proposed pathophysiologic mechanism, diagnosis, and management.

Ramifications of Atmospheric Humidity on Monsoon Depressions over the Indian Subcontinent.

In this study, a comprehensive investigation is carried out to examine the sensitivity of tropospheric relative humidity (RH) on monsoon depressions (MDs) under a changing climate regime through surrogate climate change approach over the Indian region. Composite analysis of four MDs show a persistent warming (RH2+) and cooling (RH2-) throughout the troposphere in the sensitivity experiments. Decadal surface temperature trends in India based on a new high-resolution data set.

A new comprehensive surface temperature data set for India is used to document changes in Indian temperature over seven decades, in order to examine the patterns and possible effects of global warming. The data set is subdivided into pre-monsoon, monsoon, and post-monsoon categories in order to study the temperature patterns in each of these periods. When the decade means in maximum, minimum and daily mean temperature for the 2000s are compared to those of the 1950s, a consistent pattern of warming is found over northwestern and southern India, and a pattern of cooling is seen in a broad zone anchored over northeastern India and extending southwestward across central India.
