With 90 recognized species, kukri snakes in the genus Oligodon Fitzinger constitute the second largest snake radiation in the world. Oligodon species are collectively distributed across the Asian continent and possess several ecological and morphological attributes that are unique amongst other snakes. Despite their high levels of species richness, evolutionary relationships within Oligodon are poorly understood due to a limited number of samples and genetic markers available in earlier phylogenies.

Oxalate is a terminal metabolite produced from glyoxylate by hepatic lactate dehydrogenase (LDHA). The liver-specific alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase (AGXT) detoxifies glyoxylate, preventing oxalate accumulation.

To date, the study of DVT in MASH has been hampered by the lack of reliable models that mimic the pathologic aspects of human disease.
Objectives: To evaluate DVT severity and hypercoagulability in murine and human MASH.
Designing dual-ion batteries (DIBs) by using various electrolytes through experiments or computationally is highly time-consuming and needs high-cost sophisticated resources. Here, we have utilized the ultrafast screening capability of machine learning (ML) to search for suitable salt-electrolytes toward the design of DIBs, choosing voltage as the desirable descriptor. Considering 50 different salts and their suitable staging mechanisms, the XGBoost Regressor ML model has been found to perform with remarkable accuracy.

The increasing global consumption of poultry meat has led to the generation of a vast quantity of feather keratin waste daily, posing significant environmental challenges due to improper disposal methods. A growing focus is on utilizing keratinous polymeric waste, amounting to millions of tons annually. Keratins are biochemically rigid, fibrous, recalcitrant, physiologically insoluble, and resistant to most common proteolytic enzymes.

Due to the lack of an effective vaccine with durable immunity, the disease transited into the endemic phase, necessitating potent antiviral therapy including a scientific basis for current traditional herbal medicine.
Objective: This study aimed to conduct a pharmacoinformatic analysis of selected chemical ingredients and in-vitro evaluation of Cordyceps militaris extract against SARS-CoV-2.
Background: Anthropometric assessment in the paediatric population is particularly important to assess the child's general health status, nutritional adequacy, and growth and developmental pattern. However, there are often shortcomings in the quality of anthropometric assessment done in primary healthcare settings despite the presence of established guidelines. In this study, we plan to use the quality improvement (QI) principles to improve the anthropometric assessment of under-5 children attending an urban primary health centre in Delhi, India.

The species rich genus is a particularly challenging group for species identification, discovery and conservation management due to the small size, conserved morphology and wide distribution of its members, necessitating the need for a thorough description of their vocalization. In this study, we provide quantitative description of the vocal behaviour of , a widely distributed south Asian species, from Delhi, India, based on call recordings of 18 individuals and assessment of 21 call properties.

While the journey of every person with diabetes is unique, common themes emerge in managing this disease. To date, the experiences of PWD have not been fully considered to successfully implement the recommended standards of diabetes care in practice.

We report the rediscovery of this species from four localities, from low-elevation hills on both sides of the Palghat Gap in the southern part of the Western Ghats of peninsular India. We document new specimens of R.

In this regard, designing core-shell catalyst structures has been a versatile approach to achieve the product selectivity. Herein, we investigated the activity evolution of Fe-based core-shell (M@Fe) (M = Co, Ni, or Cu) clusters for the nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR).

The large combinatorial configuration space of the electrode-electrolyte leads to design challenges. We present a machine learning (ML) approach for accurately predicting the voltage and volume changes of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) cathodes upon intercalation with a variety of DIB salts following different mechanisms.

Background: Impairments in carbohydrate, lipid, and amino acid metabolism drive features of plaque instability. However, where these impairments occur within the atheroma remains largely unknown. Therefore, we sought to characterize the spatial distribution of metabolites within stable and unstable atherosclerosis in both the fibrous cap and necrotic core.
