Objective: To assess the role of occupational noise exposure on pregnancy complications in urban Nordic populations.
Methods: A study population covering five metropolitan areas in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden was generated using national birth registries linked with occupational and residential environmental exposures and sociodemographic variables. The data covered all pregnancies during 5-11 year periods in 2004‒2016, resulting in 373 184 pregnancies.
Background: Although pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) is recommended in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), there is a scarcity of data demonstrating the cost-effectiveness and effectiveness of PR in reducing exacerbations.
Methods: A quasi-experimental study in 200 patients with COPD was conducted to determine the number of exacerbations 1 year before and after their participation in a PR program. Quality of life was measured using the COPD assessment test and EuroQol-5D.
Background: We aimed at estimating the causal effect of switching from precarious to standard employment on the 6-year and 12-year risk of all-cause mortality among workers aged 20-55 years in Sweden.
Methods: We emulated a series of 12 target trials starting every year between 2005 and 2016 using Swedish register data (n=251 273). We classified precariously employed individuals using a multidimensional approach at baseline as (1) remaining in precarious employment (PE) (73.
Background: Precarious employment (PE) has been suggested as a risk factor for occupational injuries (OIs). However, several issues such as under-reporting and time at risk pose obstacles to obtaining unbiased estimates of risk OBJECTIVE: To investigate if PE is a risk factor for OIs in Sweden.
Methods: This register-based study included employed workers aged 18-65, resident in Sweden between 2006 and 2014.
Background: Work-related stress problems, i.e., burnout, depression, and anxiety, is a rising global health challenge.

Questionnaires are often used for screening or guiding clinical assessment. Several instruments of different lengths are used as equivalent measures in diagnostic decisions.

Many patients become refractory to conventional medical management (CMM) and spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is advised. However, comparative cost-effectiveness research of both clinical approaches still lacks further evidence.

Objective: Systematic review of the available literature on ERAS protocols applied to patients undergoing radical cystectomy in terms of perioperative outcomes as well in the analysis of their implementation.
Introduction: UI after RP is a factor that has a major impact on patients' quality of life and the associated healthcare costs. The definition of UI is very variable in the literature. Similarly, a great many predictors have been studied that affect recovery of continence after surgery, the most important of which are intraoperative.

Although the use of American cranberry has been related with a reduced risk of UTI, there is no study reporting the value of its prevention effect against catheter-associated urinary tract infections.
Material And Methods: A prospective trial comparing UTI rate (positive urine culture) among 31 patients with double J catheter (JJ) and adding American cranberry (120 mg) in routine prophylactic therapy, and 31 patients with JJ catheter only receiving routine prophylactic therapy.
Objective: In the following study, we observe the progress of various invasive calculi treatments that have taken place in our hospital in the last 15 years.
Material And Method: We extracted data from our hospital database on patients who underwent extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), endoscopic surgery and open surgery. We analyzed how the incidence of these treatments has evolved over the last 15 years.

Developing of primary lymphoma of the external auditory canal is excepcional. We describe a 53 years old woman who developed a T cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and review literature. She was treated with surgery and chemotherapy and remains disease-free 10 months after the treatment.

The treatment considered to be most effective is total extirpation via a transcervical approach, but this is not without its complications. A case is described here of a patient who requested conservative treatment.
