Background: In vitro oocyte maturation (IVM) is not a novel concept; however, its wide-scale practice has been limited because of the lower clinical outcomes compared to conventional assisted reproductive technologies.
Methods: This comprehensive review addresses the significant advances made in oocyte in vitro maturation with the biphasic capacitation (CAPA)-IVM strategy applied to small ovarian antral follicles in humans over the last 10 years. CAPA-IVM consists of a prematuration phase wherein immature oocytes are temporarily meiotically arrested to gain competence before undergoing meiotic resumption.

Using deep learning, we were able to extend measurements of the X_{max} distributions up to energies of 100 EeV (10^{20} eV), not yet revealed by current measurements, providing new insights into the mass composition of cosmic rays at extreme energies. Cement-based 3D printing provides an opportunity to create cement-based elements with a hierarchy of structures and patterns that are not easily achievable using traditional casting techniques, thereby providing new possibilities for improving thermal control and energy storage in cement-based materials. In this study, the influence of internal architecture and ink formulation on the thermal behavior of 3D-printed cement composite beams was investigated using infrared thermal imaging and a conceptual one-dimensional heat transfer model based on cooling fins in convective media.
