Since the pharmaceutical market is developing, there is a need for novel techniques for determining the physical-chemical properties of drug solutions. Drugs based on technologically processed antibodies (TPA) are an example of compounds that require a methodology for studying their effects. It has been shown that the process of external impacts during the manufacture of TPA-based drugs can induce breaking of intermolecular and intramolecular bonds in the solvent molecules, providing the emergence of new bonds with the molecules of the substance used for the manufacture of an active pharmaceutical ingredient.

[Clinical guidelines «Precocious puberty»].

The precocious puberty is an urgent problem of pediatric endocrinology characterized by clinical and pathogenetic heterogeneity. The appearance of secondary sex characteristics before the age of 8 years in girls and 9 years in boys requires timely diagnosis and the appointment of pathogenetically justified treatment in order to achieve the target indicators of final growth and prevent social deprivation. The developed clinical guidelines are the main working tool of the practitioner.

Spectral-Luminescent and Electroluminescent Properties of Charge-transfer Systems Based On Electron-donating Diphenylamine Derivatives and Acceptors of Dibenzothiophene Sulfone and Phenanthridine.

Spectral characteristics and luminescence under the photo- and electro-excitation of substituted dibenzthiophene sulfone and phenanthridine were studied in this paper. Diphenylamines are substituents introduced in the 2nd and 7th positions (linear configuration) or the 3rd and 6th positions (angular configuration) of dibenzthiophene sulfone or phenanthridine. All molecules show delayed fluorescence, both in solutions and films produced by thermal vacuum deposition.

Objective: C-terminal peptide-modified human GH (MOD-4023) is developed for once-a-week dosing regimen in GH-deficient (GHD) adults and children. The present trial was a safety and dose-finding study for weekly MOD-4023 in GHD children.

Experimental and theoretical study of photo- and electroluminescence of divinyldiphenyl and divinylphenanthrene derivatives.

Electronic absorption and luminescence spectra of four new compounds of divinyldiphenyl and divinylphenanthrene derivatives are investigated experimentally in tetrahydrofuran solutions and thin films obtained by thermal vacuum deposition and by spin coating of these substances embedded into polyvinylcarbazole matrix. Molecular geometry optimizations and electronic spectra have been calculated in the framework of XMC-QDPT2/6-31G (d, p) and TDDFT/B3LYP/6-31G (d, p) levels of theory. We have fabricated and studied OLED devices with the structure ITO/PEDOT:PSS/NPD/L/Ca/Al and ITO/PEDOT:PSS/PVK+L/Ca, where L is the luminophore.

[Efficiency of iodine prophylaxis in Russia: ways of optimization].

The paper deals with one of the most topical problems of modern thyroidology - prophylaxis of iodine deficiency and iodine-deficiency states resulting in mental disorders in children living in the natural mild iodine deficiency regions. It also discusses the causes and degree of mental disorders in the children and gives recommendations on the optimization of the currently existing iodine prophylaxis system in Russia.

Gestational hypothyroxinemia and cognitive function in offspring.

The effects of gestational hypothyroxinemia on the neurointellectual prognosis of children in the first year of life living in an industrial city (megalopolis) with mild iodine deficiency were studied in 13 children of mothers with thyroid hormone-corrected gestational hypothyroxinemia in the first trimester and 10 children of mothers with normal levels of free thyroxine by assessing cognitive functions at ages six, nine, and 12 months using the Gnome mental development scale. The results showed that maternal free thyroxine levels at the early stages (5-9 weeks) of pregnancy correlated significantly with the coefficients of mental development among the children at ages 6, 9, and 12 months, i.e.

[The effectiveness of ramipril in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy in normotensive children and adolescents].

To study the effectiveness of ACE-inhibitors in diabetic nephropathy (DN) 12 male and 16 female patients aged 13-21 years with DN having normal blood pressure (BP) were given ramipril (tritace) in a dose 2.5-5 mg/day in the course of 12-24 weeks. [A dynamic cytologic study during the chemotherapy of cancer of the ovaries].

Dynamic cytologic examinations of puncture biopsy specimens of ovarian carcinoma and of serous cavity fluid in metastases of the carcinoma over the course of chemotherapy help assess the treatment efficacy and timely correct it. Carcinoma metastases to the pleural and abdominal cavity are more sensitive to chemotherapy than the primary tumor. Chemotherapy efficacy improves if a greater number of courses of therapy are administered.

[Cytogenetic characteristics of transplantable mouse tumors].

The cytogenetic control of 17 mouse tumor cell strains from of the collection of the bank of the Centre for Oncology Research of the AMS USSR was made: 4 leukemias (L-5178Y, L-1210, L-1210 resistant to 6-mercaptopurine, P-388), 2 sarcomas (S-180, S-298), 8 carcinomas (Ehrlich ascitic carcinoma, carcinoma 755,6-mercaptopurine resistant carcinoma 755, lung cancer LC-67, cervical cancer CC-2, cervical cancer CC-5, stomach cancer GC-5), 2 melanomas (B16, S91) and 1 plasmocytoma (MOPC 21). A comparison of their cytogenetic features allowed a conclusion to be drawn on the absence of any contamination among 14 strains of this collection. Carcinoma 755, sarcoma 298 and leukemia L-5178Y need some further examination for such inference to be valid.

Post-flight histological analysis of turtles aboard Zond 7.

On the occasion of the flight of Zond 7 four turtles were included in the payload. A detailed histological analysis was carried out upon recovery of the subjects. No gross changes were observed, but the nuclei in the cells of many tissues decreased in volume by a statistically significant amount.
