Diacerein is a BCS class II drug employed in osteoarthritis management. The acid/base hydrolysis of the unabsorbed diacerein in the colon is responsible for its laxative effect. Therefore, this work aimed to enhance the solubility, dissolution, and oral bioavailability of diacerein.
