Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the compliance of Jordanian nurses with ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention guidelines and the barriers to compliance.
Method: A descriptive, cross-sectional design was used. A convenience sample of 294 nurses from nine hospitals in Jordan completed a self-reported questionnaire.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention published central line-associated bloodstream infection-prevention guidelines to prevent complications and improve the quality of care; however, it is not known whether student nurses receive education about these guidelines or what is the best approach to this education. This study aimed to assess student nurses' knowledge of central line-associated bloodstream infection-prevention guidelines and to compare the effectiveness of simulation versus classroom lecturing in educating them with these prevention guidelines. It used a two-arm randomized controlled trial design with pre-post tests.

Background And Purpose: Nosocomial urinary tract infection in patients with no Foley catheter [non-catheter-associated urinary tract infection (non-CAUTI)] has been a serious health issue that is associated with an increase in the cost of care, morbidity, and mortality. Identifying the risk factors of non-CAUTI would help determine patients at high risk and prevent complications. This study aims to identify the risk factors of non-CAUTI.

Ibuprofen showed effectiveness in relieving symptoms of UTI, but its superiority is questionable. The goal of this study was to compare the effectiveness of antibiotics against ibuprofen in relieving symptoms of UTI and to identify factors that affect symptom relief.

Background: Implementation of the Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSI) prevention guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) helps to reduce the rate of CLABSI and related mortality, although the extent to which hospitals implement these guidelines is questionable.
Methods: A prospective design was used in this study.
Background: Integrating cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in undergraduate education would help to increase the rate of bystander CPR. However, few qualified trainers are available for this purpose. Training student nurses to become CPR trainers on campus could reduce this shortage.

Method: This was an observational study that used a descriptive cross-sectional design. A sample of 171 intensive care unit (ICU) nurses were observed and their compliance was recorded on a structured observational sheet.

A sample of 130 dialysis patients participated in the study and they were assigned at random to one of two therapies: psychoeducation (N = 65) or CBT (N = 65). Hamilton depression rating scale was completed by the participants in both groups prior to the therapies and after completion.

Aims: The purpose of this study was to assess nurses' compliance with ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention guidelines and the factors that influence their compliance.
Design: A structured observational design with a non-participant approach.
Background: Depression among nursing students is an ongoing problem. Several psychotherapies have been suggested as alternatives to antidepressants in the management of depression. The aim of this randomized controlled study was to compare the effectiveness of mindfulness meditation versus physical exercise in the management of depression among nursing students.

Background: This study aimed to compare the compliance with ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP)-prevention guidelines between nurses who underwent an intensive educational program and those who did not, and to investigate other factors that influence nurses' compliance.
Method: A 2-group posttest design was used to examine the effect of the VAP-prevention guidelines education on nurses' compliance. Participants were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of an educational course that aimed to expand student nurses' knowledge about the guidelines for ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) prevention. In the pretest, the students revealed poor knowledge (mean score ± SD, 6.3 ± 2.
