Background And Aim: Sarcoidosis of the central nervous system (CNS) often presents deleterious effects on affected patients. Data and available literature discussing the diagnosis and treatment of this condition are scarce and inconsistent. In this study, we aim to shed light on demographics, management, diagnostics, and clinical complications of CNS sarcoidosis patients within the United States (US) based on a nation-wide registry questionnaire.

Utilization of Truncal Fascial Plane Nerve Blocks for Chronic Pain Management: A Narrative Review.

Purpose Of Review: Nerve blocks constitute an integral portion in the management of chronic pain. The widespread use of ultrasound imaging opened the door to a flood of newer blocks especially truncal plane nerve blocks. We reviewed the current medical literature for studies and case reports utilizing the two most common truncal plane nerve blocks, transversus abdominis plane and erector spinae plane blocks, to manage chronic pain.

We assessed whether stroke severity, functional outcome, and mortality in patients with ischemic stroke differed between patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and those without. We conducted a prospective, single-center cohort study in Irbid, North Jordan. All patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke and SARS-CoV-2 infection were consecutively recruited from October 15, 2020, to October 16, 2021.

Objective: Non-surgical management of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) in children with cystic fibrosis (CF) has been increasing over the last decade. This study examines inpatient children with pulmonary exacerbation of CF who were also diagnosed with CRS and underwent endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS).

Study Design: We used the 2003 to 2016 Kids Inpatient Database to perform a cross-sectional analysis of inpatients (ages 0-21 years) diagnosed with CF and CRS in the United States from 2003 to 2016.
