Colorectal Metastasis from Ovarian Neoplasm Mimicking Primary Colon Cancer.

Metastasis to the colon from another primary internal malignancy is an untypical and a seldom reported entity. Direct visualization during colonoscopy is considered the gold standard of diagnosis. Pathologic diagnosis with immunohistochemical staining is essential to differentiate primary colorectal malignancy from secondary metastasis to the colon.

Sunitinib-Induced Acute Liver Failure.

Drug-induced liver injury is an uncommon but life-threatening entity. Sunitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor used for advanced and imatinib-refractory gastrointestinal stromal tumors. It causes transient elevation in liver enzymes.

Rapid Response of Breast Cancer Cutaneous Metastasis to Single-Agent Palbociclib: A Case Report.

Palbociclib is a cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 inhibitor. Palbociclib combined with endocrine therapy has shown promising results in hormone-receptor-positive (HR+) and human epidermal growth factor receptor-negative (HER-2-) breast cancer progression. We present a case of a woman with a history of infiltrating lobular cancer of the left breast, status post modified radical mastectomy 6 years prior, presenting with nodular erythematous lesions on the left arm and back.

Late presentation of lung adenocarcinoma in a stable solitary pulmonary nodule: A case presentation and review of the literature.

A 67-year-old patient has been followed by our pulmonary clinic for Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and a stable pulmonary nodule. Solitary pulmonary nodule (SPN) was detected on the lung cancer screening by low dose computed tomography (CT) scan of the chest. It remained stable on repeat CT scan at 6, 12 and 24-months interval.

Aspergillus and Rhizopus Fungal Coinfection in a Patient With Multiple Myeloma.

Opportunistic fungal infections are rare but life-threatening in immunocompromised patients. We discuss a case of an immunocompromised patient with multiple myeloma who presented with shortness of breath, fever, ocular palsy, and hemiplegia. She was found to have influenza A respiratory tract infection complicated by invasive aspergillosis and mucormycosis.
