Background Psoriasis is a multifactorial, hyperproliferative, chronic inflammatory skin disease affecting males and females equally. Aims To study the expression of certain non-coding RNAs, Interferon Alpha Inducible Protein 6 (IFI6), previously named Glucose-dependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide 3 (G1P-3), and nucleolar phosphoprotein (in serum and tissue), and to attempt to elucidate their role in the pathogenesis of psoriasis, which in turn might help in treatment.
