The Transcultural Nursing Society (TCNS) recognizes transcultural nursing (TCN) scholars for creative leadership and advancing education, practice, research, and administration. The purpose of this study was to discover the historical context of scholars' professional growth and development and their contributions to and future vision for transcultural nursing. Leininger's Ethnonursing Research Method was used to develop an ethnohistorical qualitative approach that included a semistructured, open-ended interview guide and data analysis plan.
