Doege-Potter syndrome associated to metastatic solitary fibrous tumor.

Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a rare fibroblastic mesenchymal neoplasm with an estimated annual incidence of 0.35 per 100,000 individuals. Doege-Potter syndrome is a paraneoplastic syndrome related to solitary fibrous tumor clinically characterized by hypoglycemia, occurring in less than 5% of cases.

Vaginal cuff brachytherapy in the adjuvant setting for patients with high-risk early-stage cervical cancer.

Purpose: To evaluate local control and survival of high-risk patients with early-stage cervical cancer submitted or not to vaginal cuff brachytherapy in the postoperative setting.

Methods And Materials: In this retrospective cohort of patients treated from 2010 to 2017, patients were eligible if they had confirmed histological diagnosis of cervical cancer treated with surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy. Vaginal cuff brachytherapy (VCB) was indicated according to the radiation oncologist discretion.

Adjuvant Carboplatin and Paclitaxel Chemotherapy Followed by Radiotherapy in High-Risk Endometrial Cancer: A Retrospective Analysis.

Teratomas are the most commonly diagnosed germ cell tumors and occur primarily in testes and ovaries. Platinum-based therapy followed by surgical resection of the residual lesion is generally the recommended treatment. In contrast, immature uterine teratomas are rare, with few cases reported in the literature.
