- The study investigated the effects of Krocina™, an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory treatment, on inflammatory chemokines CCL2 and CCL5 in osteoarthritis (OA) patients.
- Patients (35 total) were randomized into Krocina™ and placebo groups, receiving 15mg of Krocina™ daily for four months, with various clinical parameters measured.
- Results showed that Krocina™ reduced inflammation markers, significantly decreased plasma levels and gene expression of CCL2, while gene expression of CCL5 increased, suggesting mixed effects on inflammatory processes linked to OA.
