Background And Objective: Aplastic anemia (AA) remains a rare disease, with very interesting pathophysiology that is being investigated for years now. The present study aimed to determine the association between cytokine gene polymorphisms (TGF-β1 -509 C/T, TNF-α -308 G/A, IFN-γ +874 A/T) and susceptibility to AA in Egyptian patients.
Methods: The study included 80 participants subjected to determination of gene polymorphisms on genomic DNA using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism assay.
Unlabelled: The study was aimed to evaluate the effect of autologous transplantation of BM-derived undifferentiated and differentiated MSCs in cirrhotic patients following chronic hepatitis C virus infection. Twenty-five patients with Child C liver cirrhosis, MELD score >12 were included. They were divided into 2 groups.

The x-ray repair cross complementing (XRCC3) protein also functions in HR-DNA-DSB repair pathway and directly interacts with and stabilizes RAD51 and the closely related RAD51C.

This study was aimed to study the association between haplotypes in the 5' regulatory region of the BAFF gene and susceptibility to idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP).
Methods: BAFF gene polymorphisms expression at positions (-871C>T, -2701 T>A and -2841T>C) of 5' regulatory region were determined with polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism technique in 40 chronic (ITP) patients and in 50 age- and sex-matched normal volunteers as a control group.
