Our research aims to investigate the impact mechanism of brand loyalty among gamers during the gaming process within the framework of brand loyalty theory and cognitive theory. We surveyed game players from Zhejiang Province, China. The research methods include a questionnaire survey and structural equation modelling.

In contrast to global mA profiling in bulk sequencing, single-cell technologies for analyzing mA heterogeneity are not extensively established. Here, we developed single-nucleus m6A-CUT&Tag (sn-m6A-CT) for simultaneous profiling of mA methylomes and transcriptomes within a single nucleus using mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs).

We aimed to assess the postoperative outcomes of patients who were operated on for elective indications, following recovery from Covid-19 infection. Methods We did a retrospective study of patients who underwent elective general surgery between 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2021, following recovery from Covid-19.

Background: Uterus transplantation is a temporary transplant allowing women with absolute uterine factor infertility to experience pregnancy and childbirth. The degree of immunosuppression (IS) required to prevent rejection while minimizing toxicity to the recipient and fetus remains an area of investigation.

Methods: In this article, we describe immunosuppressive therapy, rejection episodes, infections, and adverse events in 14 uterus transplant recipients.

Early outcomes of kidney transplant recipients from donors with severe SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia: A report of 5 cases.

Background: Transplanting kidneys from donors with a recent history of severe SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia is uncommon due to concerns about the risk of viral transmission and the quality of kidneys from these donors. To date, there are no conclusive data on viral transmission from extrapulmonary solid organ transplants. Given the prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infections in potential donors, shortage of kidneys available for transplantation, and low risk of viral transmission, we developed a clinical protocol for accepting kidneys from donors with recent severe SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia who demonstrate preserved kidney function.

Neuromonitoring has proved to be a useful technique in reducing nerve injury during thyroid surgery; however, costs continue to limit its use in resource-constrained settings. This study was done to assess the functional integrity of the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) during thyroid surgery using palpation assessment of posterior cricoarytenoid muscle twitch in response to RLN stimulation. Between August 2016 and July 2017, 24 patients with 47 nerves at risk (NARs) underwent thyroid surgery with visual identification and testing of 44 RLNs.

Laryngotracheal Resection in Thyroid Cancer - Experience from a Single Centre Series of 22 Cases.

It is associated with significant morbidity and mortality, with airway obstruction being the immediate cause of death in 50% of patients who die of thyroid cancer. Impact of risk-stratified mycophenolate dosing in heart transplantation.

Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF), the prodrug of mycophenolic acid, is a highly effective immunosuppressive agent in heart transplant therapy. While the FDA approved dose is 1500 mg twice daily, dosing is often reduced due to dose-dependent adverse effects. However, empiric MMF dose reductions may lead to sub-therapeutic dosing and impair clinical outcomes.

Impact of antimicrobial selection for prophylaxis of left ventricular assist device surgical infections.

Background: Surgical site infections (SSIs) after left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation are associated with high mortality, while surgical prophylaxis is variable.

Methods: This retrospective study included adult patients who underwent LVAD implantation at a single center. We compared outcomes in patients who received narrow antimicrobial prophylaxis (cefazolin, vancomycin, or both) to those who received broad antimicrobial prophylaxis (any antimicrobial combination targeting gram-positive and gram-negative organisms not included in the narrow group) at 30-day and 1-year postimplantation.

A retrospective analysis of the safety and efficacy of apixaban use after lung transplant.

Direct acting oral anticoagulants (DOACs) have become the mainstay of treatment for patients requiring anticoagulation for atrial arrhythmias and venous thromboembolism (VTE) but safety and efficacy has not been established in lung transplantation. This is a retrospective review of 28 adult lung transplant patients who were prescribed apixaban for stroke prevention in atrial arrhythmias or treatment of VTE between October 15, 2015 and December 31, 2018. The primary outcome was a composite of efficacy and safety measured by recurrence or breakthrough of stroke or thromboembolism and bleeding events.

Chromatin Regulation in Development: Current Understanding and Approaches.

The regulation of mammalian stem cell fate during differentiation is complex and can be delineated across many levels. At the chromatin level, the replacement of histone variants by chromatin-modifying proteins, enrichment of specific active and repressive histone modifications, long-range gene interactions, and topological changes all play crucial roles in the determination of cell fate. These processes control regulatory elements of critical transcriptional factors, thereby establishing the networks unique to different cell fates and initiate waves of distinctive transcription events.

The dynamic treatment of SARS-CoV-2 disease.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) emerged from China in December 2019 and progressed to become a global pandemic. Our understanding of its pathophysiology and potential management was initially extrapolated from previous epidemics of coronaviruses like SARS and MERS. SARS-CoV-2 is asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic in more than 80% of patients and requires no additional management; however, the remaining patients progress to pneumonia and hypoxemia with ranging severity, including a smaller group that requires intensive care unit admission.

Identification of a Novel Missense Mutation in a Vietnamese Family with Meesmann Corneal Dystrophy.

Meesmann epithelial corneal dystrophy (MECD) is a rare dominantly inherited disorder that is characterized by corneal epithelial microcysts and is associated with mutations in the keratin 3 and keratin 12 genes. In this study, we report a novel mutation in the gene in a Vietnamese pedigree with MECD. Slit-lamp examination was performed on each of the 7 recruited members of a Vietnamese family to identify characteristic features of MECD.
