Background: The COVID-19 global pandemic exposed gaps in the treatment of common physical and mental disorders that had to do with things like lockdowns, poor convenience, fear of contracting COVID, and economic constraints. Hence, to address these treatment gaps while also limiting exposure to the COVID-19 infection, telemedicine in the form of telephone and internet consultations has increasingly become the recourse around the world. Our center adopted this trend and also launched a telepsychiatry initiative in order to better cater to the needs of patients with pre-existing mental health disorders and to ensure regular follow-ups and compliance with prescription regiments.

A computational study of CuCrX (X = S, Se, Te) for intermediate band solar cell: Conceptual density functional theory approach.

Transition metals doped semiconductors have been extensively used as a greener alternative to lead-based solar cell materials. In this work, we have investigated the structure, electronic, optical, and thermo-chemical properties of CuCrX (X = S, Se, Te) by using the Conceptual Density Functional Theory (CDFT) approach. Different suitable exchange correlations have been used for the process of geometry optimization of systems in the study.

Novel SIRT1 inhibitor 15-deoxy-Δ12,14-prostaglandin J2 and its derivatives exhibit anticancer activity through apoptotic or autophagic cell death pathways in SKOV3 cells.

Clinically relevant sirtuin (SIRT) inhibitors may possess antitumor activities. A previous study indicated that 15-deoxy-Δ12,14-prostaglandin J2 (15d-PGJ2) exhibited potent anticancer activity by SIRT1 inhibition. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate whether its derivatives (J11-C1 and J19) exhibited anticancer activity against ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells.
