Acute Hemoptysis Caused by Eroding Spinal Fusion Hardware Into the Left Lower Lobe of the Lung.

Hemoptysis can occur in rare cases as a late complication of anterior approach spinal rod surgery in the spine. Our patient presented with hemoptysis. At age 14, he underwent an anterior approach spine surgery for scoliosis.
