Outcomes of Spinal Cord Injury: WFNS Spine Committee Recommendations.

This comprehensive review article aims to provide some definitive statements on the factors like clinical syndromes, radiological findings, and decompressive surgery, that may influence the outcomes in cervical spinal cord injury management. Literature search on these factors published in the last decade were analyzed and definite statements prepared and voted for consensus opinion by the WFNS Spine Committee members and experts in this field at a meeting in Moscow in June 2019 using Delphi method. This was re-evaluated in a meeting in Pakistan in November 2019.

Implication of image guidance in endoscopic third ventriculostomy: Technical note.

Background: Endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV) is an advanced surgical procedure and plays a major role in the management of hydrocephalus. The complications associated with this procedure are grave and unforgiving. Image guidance system (IGS) can help reduce these complications.

Variation in Outcome in Tethered Cord Syndrome.

Study Design: Fifty patients surgically treated for tethered cord syndrome (TCS) were retrospectively studied at Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi from 2010 until 2014.

Purpose: To assess the common presentations of TCS in our part of the world and the surgical outcome of the different presentations.

Overview Of Literature: TCS is a stretch-induced functional disorder of the spinal cord with its caudal part anchored by an inelastic structure, which results in characteristic symptoms and signs.
