A printed monopole antenna for millimeter-wave applications in the 5G frequency region is described in this research. As a result, the proposed antenna resonates in three frequency bands that are designated for 5G communication systems, including 28 GHz, 38 GHz, and 60 GHz (V band). For the sake of compactness, the coplanar waveguide (CPW) method is used.

This article presents a compact size circularly polarized substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based wideband antenna array that serves industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) band applications. A coplanar waveguide (CPW) technique is used to ensure the antenna size compactness. The proposed antenna is fabricated on a low-profile Rogers RT6002 substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.

One of the main challenges of operating a smart city (SC) is collecting the massive data generated from multiple data sources (DSs) and transmitting them to the control units (CUs) for further data processing and analysis. These ever-increasing data demands require not only more and more capacity of the transmission channels but also results in resource over-provision to meet the resilience requirements, thus the unavoidable waste as a result of the data fluctuations throughout the day. In addition, the high energy consumption (EC) and carbon discharge from these data transmissions posing serious issues to the environment we live in.
