Knowledge and Attitudes of Nursing Students Regarding Children's Pain.

Background: Although the occurrence of pain among hospitalized children is inevitable, the way to assess and detect the intensity of pain is still challenging to pediatric professionals and may lead to increased morbidity and mortality rates if left untreated. The knowledge base of nurses regarding both pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management among children plays a significant role in managing and making a management plan. The purpose of this study was to assess nursing students' knowledge and attitudes toward pediatric pain management.

Assessment of Knowledge and Attitudes Toward Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder Among Undergraduate Nursing Students.

Background There has been a dramatic increase in the incidence and prevalence rate of autism globally. This increase could be correlated to the increase in the awareness level and understanding of the disorder among healthcare providers and autistic children's families. Aim This study aimed to assess undergraduate nursing students' knowledge about and attitudes toward children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Experience of Parents with Children Undergoing Chemotherapy.

Background: The care of a child receiving chemotherapy has a significant impact on the parents and family structure, which has been explored in depth in a few studies in Saudi Arabia. The purpose of this study is to further explore the lived experiences of Saudi Arabian parents in caring for their children receiving chemotherapy.

Methodology: A qualitative descriptive design was used in this study with a sample of 17 parents of children receiving chemotherapy.

A correlational study of breastfeeding duration among Saudi mothers: The role of self-efficacy, intention, and social support.

Background: Breastfeeding is an essential source of nutrition for infants and offers numerous benefits for both the mother and child. Despite the consensus on its advantages, limited research in Saudi Arabia has explored the factors influencing breastfeeding duration.

Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationships between breastfeeding self-efficacy, intention, social support, and breastfeeding duration.

Determinants of Physical Activity among Children with Disabilities.

Maintaining children's physical activity levels is crucial to preventing obesity and improving their health and well-being. However, achieving the recommended daily level of 60 min of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity can be difficult for children with disabilities. Moreover, children with disabilities spend less time engaging in physical activity than their typically developing peers.

The Attitude of Parents Toward Their Children Receiving the COVID-19 Vaccine.

Parental attitudes towards childhood vaccination programs are important for successful delivery. Children were affected by COVID-19; however, parental attitudes towards childhood COVID-19 vaccination have not been fully assessed. The purpose is to assess parental hesitancy and attitudes about their children receiving a COVID-19 vaccination.

The relationship between screen time exposure and the presence of anxiety-related disorders among adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic: A cross-sectional study.

Background: The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic prompted rules and laws such as lockdown, which contributed to staying at home and participating in sedentary activities such as using smartphones, tablets, televisions, gaming devices, and computers. As a result of the increased use of digital screen time, a worldwide issue has arisen among various age groups, especially adolescents, which may have affected their psychological well-being, increasing their susceptibility to anxiety-related disorders.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the relationship between screen time exposure and the presence of anxiety-related disorders among adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Breastfeeding Experience among Mothers during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

When health experts declared COVID-19 to be a global pandemic, they recognized the virus as a major environmental factor that could affect the practice of breastfeeding. A few studies focused on the effect of COVID-19 on mothers who gave birth during the pandemic. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of Saudi Arabian breastfeeding mothers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Association between Using Personal Protective Equipment and Headache among Healthcare Workers in Saudi Arabia Hospitals during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

It is mandatory that healthcare workers wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while caring for COVID-19 patients. Studies have shown that wearing PPE for a prolonged time may lead to symptoms of physical discomfort including headache. The aim of this study is to assess the prevalence and association between prolonged use of PPE and headaches.

Physical activity among children with down syndrome: maternal perception.

: Studies have shown that children with Down syndrome (DS) are at high risk for physical inactivity and obesity. This study aimed to explore mother's perceptions of the physical activity levels, needs, benefits, facilitators, and barriers in their children with DS.: For this descriptive qualitative study, 17 participants were recruited through centres for children with DS in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Media use and behavioral disorders among Saudi Arabian children.

Background: Despite children's frequent use of electronic devices, there is a lack of evidence showing how such media use influences their behavior.

Objective: This study was to assess the relationship between media use and behavior among a sample of children aged three to 11 years.

Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study.

Purpose: The purpose of this secondary analysis was to examine racial and ethnic differences in the propensity to engage in breastfeeding, maternal knowledge, and self-efficacy in infant feeding among three groups of low-income mothers: non-Hispanic (NH) White, NH African American, and Hispanic.

Background: While racial and ethnic differences in infant feeding practices are substantial, these differences have not been broadly examined in relation to breastfeeding, maternal knowledge, and self-efficacy in infant feeding among low-income mothers.

Methods: This secondary analysis used baseline data from a randomized clinical trial with a sample of 540 low-income, mother-infant dyads from Michigan and Colorado.
