This study investigated current school psychology students' perspectives on recruiting and orienting prospective trainees to the profession. Two hundred sixty-two student members of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) responded to two open-ended survey items regarding: (a) information they wished they had known prior to beginning their training and (b) their beliefs about effective recruitment practices for increasing racial and ethnic (R/E) diversity in the profession. Qualitative analyses revealed that approximately one-third of participants from R/E minoritized backgrounds reported wishing they had known more about the roles and functions of school psychologists.

The study examined the relationships between social anxiety (SA), generalized anxiety (GA), and depression with racial microaggressions and internalized racism (IR) among Black young adults. Given SA's core features, we expected it to have a unique association with IR, and to moderate the connection between racial microaggressions and IR. This study examined the research productivity and scholarly impact of faculty in APA-accredited school psychology programs using data in the PsycINFO database from 2005 to 2009. We ranked doctoral programs on the basis of authorship credit, number of publications, and number of citations. In addition, we examined the primary publication outlets of school psychology program faculties and the major themes of research during this time period.
