Every year, millions of people around the world are disabled by stroke, it is well recognized that complications aftera stroke extend hospital stays and pressure ulcers, a stroke consequence, which can be prevented by educating the caregiver. The primary focus of this research is not only to investigate the prevalence of pressure ulcers (PU) among stroke patients, but this study also introduced a variety of factors which influence the formation of PU, such as restricted mobility, gender, duration of stroke, hypertension, diabetes, hygiene, type of mattress, malnutrition, awareness, etc. In addition, this research provides a comparative and statistical analysis, a cause of the catastrophic disabilities influenced by a variety of factors.

Due to their capacity for size-based separation, nanofiltration membranes have become efficient instruments for PAH removal. However, issues such as membrane fouling and ineffective rejection still exist.

However, this approach, known as batch learning, is limited in its ability to integrate new load information that becomes available in real-time. On the other hand, online learning methods enable load forecasting models to adapt efficiently to new incoming data.

Incorrect temperature selection can lead to various issues such as poor surface roughness, inadequate light transmission, and insufficient solution for optical devices. To address this challenge, this study focuses on the preparation of PVC gel samples by combining PVC powder ( = 3000), eco-friendly dibutyl adipate, and tetrahydrofuran at different stirring temperatures ranging from 40 to 70 °C.

The RClimDex model was used to analyze the indices, and the Modified Mann-Kendal test and the Theil-Sen slope estimator were applied to determine trends and slopes, respectively. The results showed a significant decrease in total annual precipitation amount (PRCPTOT) with varying rates of negative trend from -4.

This work used different photocatalysts, including PZO, SZO, and SZC for hydrogen production using an atmospheric argon coaxial dielectric barrier discharge (DBD)-based light source. The photocatalysts were produced using a sol-gel route.

However, their energized response time and recovery limitations restrict their broader applications. Herein, a novel soft composite gel was prepared by mixing functionalized carboxylated cellulose nanocrystals (CCNs) and plasticized PVC.

In the present study, the effect of temperature (ranging from 400 to 480 °C) on bio-oil production produced from RHA was studied to obtain the maximum bio-oil yield. Response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to investigate the effect of operational parameters (temperature, heating rate, and particle size) on the bio-oil yield.

Spinel ferrites are widely investigated for their widespread applications in high-frequency and energy storage devices. This work focuses on enhancing the magnetic and dielectric properties of NiCuZn ferrite series through non-thermal microwave plasma exposure under low-pressure conditions. A series of NiCuZn ferrites was produced using a facile sol-gel auto-ignition approach.

Hundreds of kilometers of optical fibers are installed for optical meshes (OMs) to transmit data over long distances. The visualization of these deployed optical fibers is a highlighted issue because the conventional procedure can only measure the optical losses. Thus, this paper presents distributed vibration sensing (DVS) estimation mechanisms to visualize the optical fiber behavior installed for OMs which is not possible by conventional measurements.

In this work, manganese-modified black TiO (Mn-B-TiO) was produced for the photodegradation of high concentrations of total phenolic compounds from TPOME. A modified glycerol-assisted technique was used to synthesize visible-light-sensitive black TiO nanoparticles (NPs), which were then calcined at 300 °C for 60 min for conversion to anatase crystalline phase.
