Purpose: As interventional radiologists, we encounter precarious deep-seated mediastinal lesions in our day-to-day practice. The conventional technique of percutaneous transthoracic biopsy of these lesions carries significant intrinsic complications. Background: Several studies have recently reported regarding feasibility and safety of distal transradial access (d-TRA) in the anatomical snuff-box (ASB); however, literature comparing it with the conventional TRA at the wrist (w-TRA) is sparse. This study compares the technical efficiency and safety of ASB and wrist approaches for TRA for coronary angiography (CAG) and evaluates the radial artery (RA) anatomy at these sites.

Neuromyelitisoptica (NMO) and multiple sclerosis (MS) were once considered to be differing manifestation of same auto immune disease, NMO predominantly involving the optic nerve and cord. Now with discovery of NMO antibody the concept has changed and a spectrum of disorders with lesions in brain has been identified. Occasionally, brain may be the first or the only site of involvement in these disorders hence it is essential to be aware of this spectrum.
