Probiotics are live microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, provide health benefits to the host. According to the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), probiotic supplementation can optimize the health, performance, and recovery of athletes at all stages of their careers. Recent research suggests that probiotics can improve immune system functions, reduce gastrointestinal distress, and increase gut permeability in athletes.

Mechanistic, probabilistic models were developed to predict the particle size and shape, represented by aspect ratio, distributions of pharmaceutical blends using those of the raw components. Additionally, the accuracy of existing mixture rules for predicting the blend's true density and bulk density was assessed.

These tests have been performed in the 25-130 °C temperature range and constant pressure of 20 bar with the use of 0-10% ethanol weight as the cosolvent. The solubility of omeprazole in subcritical water ranged from 0.

The investigation utilized a multidisciplinary approach, integrating Artificial Neural Network (ANN) modeling, analytical method, Finite Element (FE) analysis, optimization techniques, and experimental validation. The ANN captured the complex relationship between the braiding machine and structure parameters.

The use of synthetic and biological dressings improves healing and reduces burn wound complications. The present study aimed to compare the outcomes of using human amniotic membrane (hAM) dressings and conventional silver sulfadiazine (SSDZ) ointment dressings in the management of second-degree burn wounds.

Numerous efforts have been made to model or simulate the mechanical response of close-packed yarns; however, previous studies have predominantly focused on one or two monofilaments in the core. In this study, we propose an analytical approach that combines a geometrical model with an artificial neural network (ANN) to predict the tensile behavior of close-packed yarns containing 2 to 5 monofilaments in the core region.

A dataset of nine placebo and twelve active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) loaded blend formulations (four APIs at three drug loadings) was fitted to the widely used empirical tablet compression (Gurnham, Heckel, and Kawakita) and compaction (Ryshkewitch-Duckworth and Leuenberger) models. At low API loadings (<20w/w%), all models achieved R above 90 % and RRMSE (relative root mean squared error) below 0.

Although Renilla luciferase has various applications in biotechnology, its low thermal stability limits the development of its applications. Arginine is a well-known stabilizing amino acid that plays a key role in protein stabilization against inactivation.

This dissolution model uses three compartments (Bound, Disintegrated, and Dissolved) to describe the state of each particle of active pharmaceutical ingredient. The disintegration of the tablet is captured by three fitting parameters.

Background: Job alienation of nurses leads to adverse consequences such as occupational dysfunction and low quality of health-care services provided by these individuals to patients. This study aimed to explain nurses' experience of occupational alienation in the clinical setting.
Materials And Methods: This qualitative study was conducted using the content analysis method.
Background: Oral lichen planus (OLP) is one of the most common diseases of the oral mucosa, which exact pathogenesis remains unknown. Free radicals and reactive oxygen species could play an important role in the pathogenesis of oral lichen planus.
Aims And Objectives: This study aimed to compare the salivary levels of uric acid, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and albumin in the patients with oral lichen planus and healthy subjects.
Background And Aim: Handicapped children cause psychological problems for mothers. As mothers' actual well-being is so important in the family and society, the aim of this research was to predict the role of psychological toughness and adaptability on the actual well-being of mothers with handicapped children.
Materials And Methods: The research was descriptive correlational study with volunteer mothers of handicapped children (n=150).

Background: Considering the importance of report writing and its problems, different teaching methods can be used to improve nurses' knowledge and performance, among which is peer teaching. This study aimed to determine the effect of peer teaching on the quality of report writing based on the nursing process.
Materials And Methods: This quasi-experimental study examined 60 nurses working in the surgical and cardiac wards of Razavi Hospital in Mashhad during 2019.
Background: One of the causes of postpartum hemorrhage is prolongation of third stage of labor. Mother-infant skin to skin contact (SSC) immediately after delivery is one of the non-pharmacological interventions to reduce this stage. Studies which assessed the effect of mother-infant SSC after delivery on duration of the third stage of labor reported controversial results on this issue.

Methods: A principle-based concept analysis method was used to analyze the nursing literature. The dataset included 46 English language studies, published from 2005 to 2014, and they were retrieved through PROQUEST, MEDLINE, CINAHL, ERIC, SCOPUS, and SID scientific databases.
Pseudoaneurysm of superficial temporal artery (STA) is an uncommon complication of blunt and penetrating trauma. It accounts for only 1% of all traumatic aneurysms. Most pseudoaneurysms of STA present as a painless pulsating mass, and its diagnosis can be made with physical examination and ultrasound or computed tomography angiogram.

However, the assessment of this technique for the detection of parathyroid adenoma in patients with a nodular goiter was performed in only one study with a small sample size. The aim of this prospective study was to assess the role of 99mTc-sestamibi parathyroid SPECT-CT scans for localization of parathyroid adenomas with a concomitant nodular goiter using 99mTc-methoxyisobutyl isonitrile (MIBI) scintigraphy and to compare it with SPECT and planar imaging.
