Objective: The aim of the study is to assess the diagnostic performance of quantitative analysis of diffusion-weighted imaging in assessing treatment response in cervical cancer patients.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was done for 50 patients with locally advanced cervical cancer who received concurrent chemoradiotherapy and underwent magnetic resonance imaging and diffusion-weighted imaging. Treatment response was classified into 4 categories according to RECIST criteria 6 months after therapy completion.

We report the synthesis of ethylammonium lead iodide (EAPbI) colloidal nanocrystals as another member of the lead halide perovskites family. The insertion of an unusually large -cation (274 pm in diameter) in the perovskite structure, hitherto considered unlikely due to the unfavorable Goldschmidt tolerance factor, results in a significantly larger lattice parameter compared to the Cs-, methylammonium- and formamidinium-based lead halide perovskite homologues. As a consequence, EAPbI nanocrystals are highly unstable, evolving to a nonperovskite δ-EAPbI polymorph within 1 day.

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and leukemia are two major global health concerns, both contributing significantly to morbidity and mortality. Epidemiological evidence demonstrates a strong correlation between T2DM and an increased risk of leukemia, particularly driven by insulin resistance, hyperglycemia, and the resultant metabolic dysregulation. Key shared risk factors, including obesity and chronic inflammation, create a conducive environment for leukemogenesis, intensifying cancer cell proliferation and resistance to standard therapies.

Introduction And Importance: Orthotopic neobladder reconstruction may be associated with complications such as neobladder-vaginal fistula (NVF) and uretero-ileal anastomotic stricture which are often managed using stents, though these can be prone to migration.

Case Presentation: We present a 69-year-old lady with a surgical history of radical cystectomy and ileal neobladder that was complicated by a left ureteric stricture and poucho-vaginal fistula for which she underwent a left ureteric stent and bilateral percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN) insertions after which she lost to follow-up. The patient later presented to our center with a right subcostal anterior abdominal wall desmoid tumor for which she underwent wide local excision.

Combining multiple species working in tandem for different hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) steps is an effective strategy to design HER electrocatalysts. Here, we engineered a hierarchical electrode for the HER composed of amorphous-TiO/Cu nanorods (NRs) decorated with cost-effective Ru-Cu nanoheterostructures (Ru mass loading = 52 μg/cm). Such an electrode exhibits a stable, over 250 h, low overpotential of 74 mV at -200 mA/cm for the HER in 1 M NaOH.

InAs-based nanocrystals can enable restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) compliant optoelectronic devices, but their photoluminescence efficiency needs improvement. We report an optimized synthesis of InAs@ZnSe core@shell nanocrystals allowing to tune the ZnSe shell thickness up to seven mono-layers (ML) and to boost the emission, reaching a quantum yield of ≈70% at ≈900 nm. It is demonstrated that a high quantum yield can be attained when the shell thickness is at least ≈3ML.
