Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of two distraction methods—audio and virtual reality (VR)—in managing anxiety for pediatric dental patients using the tell, show, and do technique (TSD).
  • A total of 45 children aged 6-10 were randomly assigned to three groups: one using only TSD, another with audio distractions, and the third with VR distractions, with anxiety levels measured before and after treatment.
  • Results showed all methods significantly reduced anxiety, but the VR group had the most substantial decrease in anxiety levels compared to the other techniques.*
