Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a progressive and multifactorial disease that is associated with aging. A number of changes occur in aged cartilage, such as increased oxidative stress, decreased markers of healthy cartilage, and alterations in the autophagy pathway. Propolis extracts contain a mixture of polyphenols and it has been proved that they have high antioxidant capacity and could regulate the autophagic pathway.

Myasthenia gravis is a neuromuscular autoimmune disease characterized by fatigable weakness of skeletal muscles that results from an antibody-mediated immunological attack directed at acetylcholine postsynaptic receptors. Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is considered as a treatment option in refractory cases of myasthenia gravis. A 56-year-old Colombian male presented with six months of progressive hoarseness and dysphagia, with a positive repetitive stimulation test suggestive of end plate neuromuscular disease.

Survivorship Care Plans (SCPs) may facilitate long-term care for cancer survivors, but their effectiveness has not been established in hematopoietic cell transplantation recipients. We evaluated the impact of individualized SCPs on patient-reported outcomes among transplant survivors. Adult (≥18 years at transplant) survivors who were 1-5 years post transplantation, proficient in English, and without relapse or secondary cancers were eligible for this multicenter randomized trial.

This study aimed to develop a survivorship care plan (SCP) that can be individualized to facilitate long-term follow-up care of hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) survivors. A sample SCP was developed that included 2 documents: a treatment summary and preventive care recommendations that combined data on treatment exposures routinely submitted by HCT centers to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) with long-term follow-up guidelines. Focus groups were conducted by phone to characterize the critical patient-centered elements of the SCP.

There is no preferred treatment option for metastatic breast cancer; therefore, treatment should provide palliation, prolong survival, control symptoms, and improve quality of life. Liposomal doxorubicin formulations have been shown to have less alopecia, nausea, vomiting, and myelosuppression than traditional doxorubicin, but more skin toxicities and infusion reactions. Prolonged use of liposomal doxorubicin may be associated with unrecognized or less well-defined toxicities.

Recent research in psychiatric genetics has led to a move away from simple diathesis-stress models to more complex models of psychopathology incorporating a focus on gene-environment interactions and epigenetics. Our increased understanding of the way biology encodes the impact of life events on organisms has also generated more sophisticated theoretical models concerning the molecular processes at the interface between "nature" and "nurture." There is also increasing consensus that psychotherapy entails a specific type of learning in the context of an emotional relationship (i.

Inorganic and organic constituents present in textile effluents have a noticeable effect on the performance of Fenton processes. However, studies have been focused on simple wastewater matrices that do not offer enough information to stakeholders to evaluate their real potential in large-scale facilities. Chemical auxiliaries, commonly present in textile wastewaters (NaCl = 30 g/L, NaCO = 5 g/L, and CHCOONa = 1 g/L), affect both the economic and environmental performance of the process because they increase the treatment time (from 0.
