Background: Total hip replacement (THR) is frequently associated with intense post-surgical pain. Effective pain management is of crucial importance to improving patient's condition and increasing his/her satisfaction in the post-operative time.

Premedication with intranasal versus intravenous dexmedetomidine for hypotensive anesthesia during functional endoscopic sinus surgery in adults: A randomized triple-blind trial.

Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) has been performed under controlled hypotension to increase operating field visibility. Intranasal (IN) dexmedetomidine is easy, noninvasive, and possesses lower C max, accompanied by lower pharmacodynamic action, including hypotension, bradycardia, and sedation. This trial aimed to compare IN and intravenous (IV) dexmedetomidine for hypotensive anesthesia during FESS.

Accidental intrathecal injection of tranexamic acid: a case report.

Background: Tranexamic acid is a well-known antifibrinolytic medication frequently prescribed to individuals with bleeding disorders. Following accidental intrathecal injection of tranexamic acid, major morbidities and fatalities have been documented. The aim of this case report is to present a novel method for management of intrathecal injection of tranexamic acid.
