Historically multi-nodular goiters have been thought of as a benign disease with a low risk of associated malignancy. Recent studies suggested that the incidence of malignancy in patients with MNG is not uncommon. With the aim of determining frequency of malignancy in multi-nodular goiter this cross sectional observational study was done at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, Mymensingh, Bangladesh from June 2021 to March 2022.

Chronic As-exposure causes depression, memory impairment, and liver injury in experimental animals. This study was carried out to assess the protective effect of mulberry leaves juice (Mul) against As-induced neurobehavioral and hepatic dysfunctions in Swiss albino mice.

Central Composite Design (CCD) predictive model and optimum conditions for BCBPAIO were developed in Design Expert software. The model uncertainty analysis was performed using Monte Carlo simulation.

We have recently reported that chronic exposure to As was associated asthma, as determined by spirometry and respiratory symptoms. Because T helper 2 (Th2)-driven immune responses are implicated in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases, including asthma, we studied the associations of serum Th1 and Th2 mediators with the As exposure markers and the features of asthma among individuals exposed to As.

Methods: Consecutive patients presenting with acute ischemic stroke to the emergency department at a tertiary care hospital in Southern India between April 2017 - September 2018 were included.
Modified Palm Kernel Shell Activated Carbon (PKSAC) using silver nanoparticle (Ag-NPs-PKSAC) was investigated on phenol uptake from aqueous solution. Effects of temperature (500-700 °C), time (90-120 min), and alkaline concentration (0.1-0.

We aim to determine whether a malnutrition-driven nutritional support protocol can improve these outcomes.
Methods: In this prospective cohort study, we assessed adults for malnutrition who were consecutively admitted for ASCT between October 2017 and March 2019 (n = 251), and provided enteral or parenteral nutrition (EN/PN) to patients who were malnourished early in the transplantation admission.
Groundwater contaminated with arsenic (As) is the biggest threat to public health in Bangladesh. The children of As-exposure parents are also exposing to As through drinking water. The effects of As on the children's health of As-exposure parents are poorly understood.

Thus, the AGS system provides a unique ecosystem to study the importance of local (species sorting) and regional (immigration) processes in bacterial community assembly. The microbial communities of different-sized aggregates (flocs <0.

There is a paucity of studies on intravenous thrombolysis using TNK-tPA in developing countries. The present study has been undertaken to compare the efficacy and safety of TNK-tPA with alteplase.

Chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is associated with IC-related disorders. In this study, we investigated the kinetics and mechanism of HCV and HCV-IC binding to and dissociation from erythrocytes.

Previous studies revealed that UPF1 is associated with the 3' untranslated region (UTR) of target mRNAs via as-yet-unknown sequence features. Herein, we aimed to identify characteristic sequence features of UPF1 targets.

The mechanism of HCV-related lymphoproliferative disorders is not fully understood. Recent studies have found that HCV in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from chronically infected patients is mainly associated with cluster of differentiation 19-positive (CD19 ) B cells.

Background: Polymorphism in the factor V gene named HR2 has been described as a possible risk factor for venous thromboembolism (VTE) development. Contradictive results on this association have been reported.
Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and cancers are the major causes of chronic arsenic exposure-related morbidity and mortality. Matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and -9 (MMP-9) are deeply involved in the pathogenesis of CVDs and cancers. This study has been designed to evaluate the interactions of arsenic exposure with serum MMP-2 and MMP-9 concentrations especially in relation to the circulating biomarkers of CVDs.
