Background: Nipple-areola complex (NAC) necrosis, which is caused by local ischemia, remains one of the complications associated with nipple-sparing mastectomy. Obesity, smoking, diabetes mellitus, and immediate breast reconstruction have been identified as risk factors of NAC necrosis.
