Modeling of transient dynamics in two-dimensional circular microresonators using the pulsed complex source point beam concept.

An analytical method for transient dynamics description in microresonators is used to characterize and visualize the transient effects. In the frame of this method, the pulsed complex source point concept is used to simulate an incident transient beam. The excited fields in the microcavity are described by means of a rigorous mathematical approach that is based on the analytical solution in the Laplace transform domain and accurate evaluation of residues at singular points corresponding to the excited modes.

Rigorous analysis of whispering gallery mode frequency conversion because of time variation of refractive index in a spherical resonator.

We investigate theoretically the switching effects for the whispering gallery modes in a spherical dielectric resonator when its material is subject to abrupt time change in permittivity. A rigorous analytical approach is used to study the transformation process. Details of both the transient response and the steady-state regime are described.

[Effect of dihydroergotamine, reserpine and anapriline on the pharmacokinetics and metabolism of norsulfazole in rats].

In in vivo experiments with rats anapriline (1 mg/kg) greatly reduced the level of gastrically introduced norsulfazol (200 mg/kg) in the blood, liver, kidneys, stomach, small and large intestine both in healthy rats as well as in those with experimental gastritis provoked by acetylsalicylic acid twice introduced into the stomach. Under the influence of anapriline the acetylization of norsulfazol in the liver would become 4.7 times less intensive.

[Role of genealogical studies for the prevention of malignant neoplasms].

Based on clinico-genealogical studies of 219 cancer patients, whose relatives suffered neoplastic processes, it was concluded that a hereditory factor plays a definite role in cancer morbidity. It seems to be rational to single out the relatives of the proband as a high-risk group in malignant tumor morbidity and to keep them under a dispensary control.
