Introduction: Due to the growing medical need for gynecologic robotic surgery, several robotic surgeries may be performed in a single day at high-volume centers. This study evaluated the safety of performing multiple robot-assisted hysterectomies (RAHs) per day by the same surgeon.

Methods: We reviewed the clinical data of patients who underwent robotic surgery from April 2018 to September 2024 at the Department of Gynecology, Yamanashi Central Hospital, and also examined the surgical type, order, and surgeon for each procedure.

Background: Fontan-associated liver disease (FALD) encompasses hepatic complications following the Fontan procedure, ranging from fibrosis to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Despite advancements in surgical techniques and perioperative care, robot-assisted laparoscopic hepatectomy (RALH) for HCC in patients with FALD has not been previously reported owing to concerns about the Fontan circulation.

Coffee processing wastes, such as solid (pulp and husk) and wastewater, co-digested with industrial brewery wastewater, serve as excellent substrates for generating methane in the anaerobic digestion process. This study introduced design informatics using deep learning in a topological photonics system and applied it to a topological waveguide with a sharp bending structure to further reduce propagation loss. The sharp bend in the topological waveguide composed of two photonic crystals wherein dielectrics having C symmetry were arranged in triangle lattices of hexagons, and the designing of parameters individually for 6 × 6 unit cells near the bending region using deep learning resulted in an output improvement of 60% compared to the initial structure. The proposed structural design method has high versatility and applicability for various topological photonic structures.

We compared the effectiveness of conventional total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) against robot-assisted total hysterectomy (RAH) in patients with a large uterus. According to the subtype of minimally invasive hysterectomy performed for benign indications, the patients (n = 843) were grouped as follows: TLH (n = 340) and RAH (n = 503).
