To identify clusters of autoantibodies in a large cSLE population and to verify possible associations between different autoantibody clusters and the following variables: demographic data, cumulative clinical and laboratory manifestations, disease activity, cumulative damage and mortality. A cross-sectional study was performed in 27 Pediatric Rheumatology University centers, including 912 cSLE patients. The frequencies of seven selected autoantibodies (anti-dsDNA, anti-Ro/SSA, anti-La/SSB, anti-Sm, anti-RNP, aCL IgM and/or IgG and LA) were used for cluster analysis using the K-means method.

Alcohol septal ablation (ASA) is indicated for HOCM patients who are ineligible for surgical myectomy, but several tips exist for the management of high-risk patients with ASA. Here, we present a case of successful ASA in a HOCM patient with multiple comorbidities, including severe obesity, drug-refractory bronchial asthma, poorly controlled diabetes, and steroid-induced immunosuppression.

During surgery, the patient was positioned in the left lateral recumbent, jackknife position. A blood test of the day after surgery showed an abnormally high CK level of 23,038 U/L.

Here, we analyze mice mutated for the transcriptional regulator AUTS2, which recapitulate microcephaly. Their brains exhibit reduced division of intermediate progenitor cells (IPCs), leading to fewer neurons and decreased thickness in the upper-layer cortex.

Methylglyoxal (MG), a reactive metabolite elevated in diabetes, is implicated in various complications, but its direct impact on bone healing remains unclear. Here, using a non-diabetic murine tibial fracture model, we demonstrate that MG directly impairs fracture healing.

Thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB) allows visualization of the needle tip under ultrasound guidance and can be safely performed, unlike epidural anesthesia where the needle tip cannot be visualized. Here, we describe a case of flail chest in whom TPVB was used, as it provides the same level of analgesia as epidural anesthesia and has a perfect analgesic effect.

Case Presentation: A man in his eighties with left renal cell carcinoma and pulmonary metastasis developed visual impairment in the left eye during primary treatment with ipilimumab and nivolumab followed by secondary treatment with cabozantinib. Consultation with an ophthalmologist revealed choroidal metastasis, which was subsequently treated with local radiotherapy (3 Gy × 10 Fr), resulting in a significant reduction in the metastatic lesions.

Well-trained individuals, compared to less well-trained individuals, exhibit a lower minute ventilation (V̇) and higher end-tidal partial pressure of CO (PCO) at a given work rate. This study investigated whether such breathing adaptations seen in well-trained individuals also applied to elite long-distance runners. Forty-one long-distance runners were categorized into high (Long-High, consisting of Tokyo-Hakone College Ekiden [relay marathon] runners and Olympic athletes, n = 23), or low performance-level group (Long-Low, n = 18) according to their race times.

Currently, there is no established treatment for the condition. Sensory integration pertains to the processing, integrating, and organizing of sensory information from both the body and the environment.

We report late-onset disseminated BCG infection after intravesical BCG immunotherapy in a non-immunocompromised patient. A 78-year-old non-immunocompromised man was admitted with fever and hepatosplenomegaly.

Consequently, transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) was performed. Despite successful TEER, a large thrombus in the left atrium (LA) was unexpectedly discovered on postoperative day 3.

As sialic acids are critical for the platelet membrane and muscle fibers, GNE variants cause GNE-related thrombocytopenia and GNE-related myopathy. Here, we report a neonate with thrombocytopenia that initially met the criteria for neonatal allo-immune thrombocytopenia (NAIT) but was resistant to treatments and then revealed novel biallelic heterozygous GNE variants without any symptoms of myopathy when diagnosed.

For the AIE mechanism, quantum mechanical studies proposed the restriction of the intramolecular motion (RIM) model with the contribution of the conical intersection (CI) and deduced the importance of the restricted access to a conical intersection (RACI) in the potential energy surface (PES). Although these theoretical studies have contributed to the elucidation of AIE phenomena, direct detection of the reaction dynamics is indispensable to clarify the actual PES and the deactivation mechanism.

Given the involvement of γδ T cells in inflammatory processes, this study explored their role in the effects of arketamine. To assess therapeutic outcomes, mice received lipopolysaccharide (LPS:1.

Background: The prevalence, characteristics, and prognosis of atrial functional mitral regurgitation (AFMR) based on severity remain unclear. No studies have systematically evaluated quantitative thresholds, such as effective regurgitant orifice area (EROA) or regurgitant volume, in relation to outcomes in AFMR. This multicenter study aimed to clarify the clinical implications of both qualitative and quantitative assessments of AFMR severity.

This study analyzed 1967 patients with luminal-type breast cancer who underwent cancer gene panel testing. The results demonstrated that AKT pathway alterations, including PI3K/AKT/PTEN, occurred in 1038 (52.
