Symplastic leiomyoma of uterus: a rare histological variant.

Symplastic leiomyoma is a rare histological variant of leiomyoma. This is a case report of a young nulliparous patient who presented with primary infertility for 2 years and swelling in lower abdomen for 6 months. Intramural fibroid was diagnosed during a pelvic ultrasound.

Hellp syndrome and subcapsular liver haematoma.

HELLP syndrome is a disease of variable presentation with high mortality and morbidity. Haemolysis in HELLP syndrome is microangiopathic. Obstruction of hepatic blood flow by fibrin deposits in sinusoids results in elevated liver enzymes.

Vesicouterine fistula and blind vagina.

A case of vesicouterine fistula with blind vagina following cesarean section for obstructed labor is presented. It was surgically treated by fistulectomy, cervicoplasty and maintenance of bladder and cervical patency by catheterization. Intrauterine synechiae formation was prevented by copper T insertion and oral contraceptive pills.
