Article Synopsis
  • Osteochondroma is a common benign bone tumor, but it is rarely found in the craniofacial region, specifically in the coronoid process, with limited reported cases since 1899.
  • A 16-year-old female patient presented a unique case of osteochondroma in the left coronoid process, notably without restricted mouth opening, which is atypical compared to existing literature.
  • Diagnostics relied on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) due to the limitations of plain radiography; the patient was treated successfully with an intraoral coronoidectomy.
