Aim: The research examines the incidence and characteristics of non-Multi-Drug Resistant (non-MDR) and Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) strains by reviewing patient records from January 2016 to December 2022.
Methods: Through a statistical analysis, the study highlights the incidence rates across diverse age groups and explores the impact of antibiotic treatment regimens on infection outcomes.
Objective: Currently, there is a limited amount of published data on the incidence of bloodstream infections (BSI) caused by both methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) in most parts of the Arabian Peninsula. Thus, it is extremely important to have information concerning the distribution and prevalence of MRSA and MSSA to better handle and manage future epidemics. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between MRSA and/or MSSA with BSI at King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Problem: Dyslexia is a learning disorder affecting an individual's ability to recognize words and understand concepts. It remains underdiagnosed due to its complexity and heterogeneity. The use of traditional assessment techniques, including subjective evaluation and standardized tests, increases the likelihood of delayed or incorrect diagnosis.

Deep learning (DL) technologies, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and vision transformers (ViTs) can provide promising outcomes in AD diagnosis. However, these technologies lack model interpretability and demand substantial computational resources, causing challenges in the resource-constrained environment.

Numerous strategies are under exploration to combat biofilms and preempt the development of antibacterial resistance. Among these, mechanical disruption of biofilms and enclosed bacteria presents a promising avenue, aiming to induce membrane permeabilization and consequent lethal damage.

The posterior viewing portal may hinder adequate visualization and extensive release of retracted tendons, particularly in addressing the bursal surface of the tears. Tension-free robust repair is critical to prevent retears and for achieving successful outcomes for these massive and complex retracted tears.

In this study, we conducted a systematic literature review to identify the significance of genetics- and molecular-pathway-based machine learning (ML) models in treating neurological disorder conditions. According to the study's objectives, search strategies were developed to extract the research studies using digital libraries.

The patient, a 55-year-old manual laborer, presented with severe deltoid wasting and reduced power 18 months postdislocation, necessitating a specialized treatment approach. The use of axillary nerve neurolysis and an innovative upper trapezius to anterior deltoid transfer via a subacromial path posterior to the clavicle, facilitated by an autologous semitendinosus graft, resulted in significant improvement with 160 degrees of abduction and Grade 4+ power Medical Research Council grading (MRC) at the 5-year follow-up.

Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study used a self-administered electronic survey that targeted members of the Saudi Society of Pediatric Dentistry. The questionnaire included questions on five techniques of advanced and pharmacological behavior management recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
This article introduces a prototype laser communication system integrated with uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs), aimed at enhancing data connectivity in remote healthcare applications. Traditional radio frequency systems are limited by their range and reliability, particularly in challenging environments. By leveraging UAVs as relay points, the proposed system seeks to address these limitations, offering a novel solution for real-time, high-speed data transmission.

Breast cancer (BC) is the leading cause of mortality among women across the world. Earlier screening of BC can significantly reduce the mortality rate and assist the diagnostic process to increase the survival rate. Researchers employ deep learning (DL) techniques to detect BC using mammogram images.

Lattice radiation therapy (LRT) is an advanced treatment approach specifically designed for massive tumors. It aims to deliver high-dose regions within tumors while ensuring the safety of the surrounding dose-limiting organs at risk (OAR). This case report introduces two unique clinical cases: a 63-year-old male diagnosed with a massive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumor and a 61-year-old male with an inoperable recurrent left-sided adrenal mass intricately surrounded by dose-limiting bowel structures.

Enzymes involved in lipid metabolic processes such as phospholipases are, therefore, potential drug targets. Here, using reverse genetics approaches, we show that only 1 out of the 19 putative phospholipases expressed in asexual blood stages of is essential for proliferation , pointing toward a high level of redundancy among members of this enzyme family.

The subscapularis is the strongest muscle among the rotator cuff muscles, and it provides a coupled balanced force across the glenohumeral joint by resisting the infraspinatus in axial plane and the shearing force of deltoid in the coronal plane. It is important to repair subscapularis tears to maintain the coupled balanced force. Subscapularis tendon tears are difficult to diagnose and treat.
