Objective: The study aimed to identify and describe the engagement strategies used in implementing electronic health records in health care settings and to ascertain why they were successful or not, using normalization process theory.

Methods: In this rapid review, we searched PubMed and CINAHL for qualitative and mixed methods primary studies published from 2010 to 2023 (June). We identified 41 studies that explored the implementation of EHRs, involving clinicians as participants.

Background: A community psychiatry service is provided from selected primary health care (PHC) clinics in Gauteng, South Africa. This study described the demographic and clinical characteristics of health care users (HCUs), and explored HCUs' experiences of these services in order to shed light on the challenges of integrating psychiatric services into PHC.

Methods: A mixed-methods study was conducted at two PHC clinics, where 384 clinical records were reviewed and 23 HCUs were interviewed.

This study assessed the acceptability of, as well as the facilitators of and barriers to the HIV self-testing kit in the Gauteng province, South Africa. An exploratory qualitative cross-sectional study was conducted using focus group discussions (FGDs) among a sample of 118 respondents selected from the Braamfontein and Soweto areas of Johannesburg. Sixteen FGDs were conducted in order to assess the acceptability of the HIV self-testing kit.
