Frequency of Maternal Anemia in Patients Presenting With Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes.

Background: Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) is the rupture of fetal membranes before 38 weeks of gestation. The etiology is multifactorial. Maternal anemia is one of the factors leading to PPROM.

Background & Objectives: Obesity is an epidemic of the 21 century with its rates doubling in both developed and developing countries. It raises concerns for both maternal and fetal well-being and needs altered care throughout pregnancy and in postnatal period. Raised BMI prior to conception is associated with adverse feto-maternal outcomes.

Efficacy of rituximab in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Objective: To determine the efficacy of rituximab 2×500mg in rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Methods: The descriptive case series was conducted at the Department of General Medicine, Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, Pakistan, from November 25, 2018, to May 24, 2019, and comprised patients of either gender aged 30-60 years with rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis for >6 months. The patients received 2 doses of rituximab 2×500mg through intravenous infusion with pre-medications as a standard protocol.

Protective Effect Of Vitamin C On Monosodium Glutamate Induced Changes In The Oviduct Of Rats.

Background: This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of Vitamin C on Monosodium Glutamate induced histopathological changes in oviduct of adult female Sprague Dawley rats. The duration of study was 6 months. It was an analytical experimental randomized control trial.
