The discovery of silver phosphate (AgPO) is a major breakthrough in the field of visible light responsive semiconductor photocatalysis due to its robust capacity to absorb visible light < 520 nm. Furthermore, the holes produced in AgPO under light excitation possess a strong oxidation ability.
