Characterization of a productive oil/gas well blowout through seismological methods is relatively uncommon. In this paper, we conduct an in-depth seismic evaluation of one of the world's most significant onshore oil well blowout incidents, which occurred in 2020 at the Baghjan oil field in Assam, northeast India. We show that the blowout and related on-site activities generated distinct signals that can be distinguished by their spectral characteristics, temporal variation in geometric spreading, and sharp attenuation of daytime noise in comparison to the nighttime.

In this work, novel intrinsic electronic absorption (250-400 nm) with a molar extinction coefficient of 752 Mcm at 250 nm, arising from photoinduced electron transfer involving charged amino acid side chains and the polypeptide backbone, along with luminescence (300-500 nm) with quantum yield of 0.011 from subsequent charge recombination, was observed in salmon sperm Protamine (PRM). The absorption of PRM was attributed to the previously identified Peptide Backbone-to-Side chain Charge Transfer (PBS-CT) from the polypeptide backbone to the abundant cationic headgroups of Arginine in PRM, while the luminescence was believed to originate from charge recombination within the charge-separated excited states of PRM.

This work reports that ligand engineering can modulate the triplet harvesting mechanism in iodide-bridged rhombic CuI complexes. Complex-1, with a smaller Cu-Cu distance, exhibits phosphorescence from (M+X)LCT and CC states with 66% quantum yield, whereas an increased Cu-Cu distance in complex-2 results in a switch of the emission from phosphorescence to TADF, which occurs via (M+X)LCT states with 83% quantum yield. The TADF property of complex-2 has been utilized for the fabrication of a pc-LED emitting efficient warm white light.

The Assam lemon is a highly valued Citrus cultivar known for its unique aroma, flavor, and appearance. This study aimed to investigate the morphological, seeding pattern and biochemical variations within 132 populations of Assam lemon from across 22 districts of Assam along with the control samples, with the objective to offer comprehensive understanding that could facilitate the improvement of breeding programs and further improvement of this important cultivar. Scrub typhus is one of the most neglected tropical diseases, a leading cause of acute undifferentiated febrile illness in areas of the 'tsutsugamushi triangle', diagnosed frequently in South Asian countries. GPER is a seven transmembrane G-protein-coupled estrogen receptor that mediates rapid estrogen actions.
