Introduction: The present study examined the favorable attitude of a sample of female university students regarding elective cosmetic surgery, body dysmorphic disorder, self-esteem and body dissatisfaction following a media literacy training intervention.

Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental type. The study sample included 140 female university students who were allocated to either the intervention (n=70) or the control group (n=70).

The present study assessed relationships between religiosity and the perpetration of violence by husbands and wives toward one another in an Iranian context. 180 Iranian couples living in Iran were administered the Islamic Religious Tendency and Domestic Violence questionnaires. Patterns of relationship between aspects of religious tendency and expressed violence were similar in men and women.

Based on previous demonstration of the effect of anticonvulsant drugs on morphine antinociception, the present study investigated the effects of vigabatrin (VGB) on the development and expression of morphine tolerance in mice. 101 male NMRI mice weighing 20-25 g were used in these experiments.

In this research anti-inflammatory effect of Tripleurospermum disciforme extract was studied in rats. The effect of the extract against acute inflammation was studied by hind paw edema test. Intraperitoneal injection of different doses (15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 mg kg(-1)) of Tripleurospermum disciforme which was followed by hind paw carageenan injection 1 h later were investigated.

Given that the adolescence period is one of the most crucial stages of development during one's lifetime and adolescents are prone to engage in behaviors which may negatively impact their health, it is very important to have a clear and transparent understanding of adolescents' health needs and problems. A content analysis with a qualitative approach was conducted and 41 healthy adolescents were interviewed. The results of this study revealed the following themes: addiction causes and prevalence; unhealthy friendship and communication and increased rates of cigarette smoking; alcohol and drugs; barriers to and factors in addiction and health; family and addiction.
